Jolly New Finds

 The two Whimsy shops are full of holiday cheer and vintage goods!

We also snuck a few irresistible gift ideas that aren't vintage, but still so cute,

Sweet handmade figures above, although not vintage, sure to fit in nicely

with all your vintage holiday decorating.  The pipe cleaner Santa is antique and sold the

day we took this picture. 

 Lots of wonderful vintage decor to spruce up any room in your cozy quarters.

 The vintage light up Santa's that fly out the door have arrived! Last year our whole window

was filled with vintage Santa's and snowmen. Those are long gone, but you will love the vintage ones this year! All sizes and various expressions!

 The selection of vintage ornaments keeps growing. We just (after this shoot) discovered a fantastic box filled with antique ornaments that are figural! Santa, owl,violin, and even a hot air balloon to name a few!

 The gorgeous vintage mirrors above are encrusted with vintage glitz and seashells!

 Love this wonderful old snowman! Great decor inside or out!

 The pup purses are new, but they were so fun, we had to bring a few to Whimsy!

Maybe you know someone who is allergic to real dogs but would love to carry

a fuzzy puppy around! Great gift!

New Finds

 Still holding on to Fall, and actually enjoying the cooler weather and some refreshing rain here!

 

Before we  turn our Whimsy shops into Winter Wonderlands featuring lots of vintage

Holiday finds, we are showing you some New Finds for your home and some great vintage ideas for

Thanksgiving get togethers.

 Check out the wonderful red lanterns. Would be cozy on your patio with candles! Check out the amazing long blue bench with original paint straight from a barn in northern California. Love the

Hello blogging friends, very excited to share with you our recently redone website!

My bags are packed!

 I have been counting down the months, weeks, days and now it is a matter of hours!

I will be headed to JUNK BONANZA  on Wednesday and am over the top excited!

So looking forward to see the creativity of this show, the amazing finds I will be bringing back to Whimsy,

and finally meeting some wonderful folks I have been in touch with for quite some time like Cammie, that makes the wonderful license plate pendants we carry at Whimsy, and Ki, the editor of Flea Market Style magazine (darn, I missed her when she visited both shops earlier this year) we all love so much, and the creator of Junk Bonanza--to name a few!

 While we are on this short trip, please stop in and see our latest finds we have in both stores, like the 

grey wood cubby unit with drawers, above and the amazing folk art bird house!

 We have lots of vintage pyrex in both shops!

 High top red Converse just for fun!

 And vintage luggage, I may be nabbing to fill with treasures from Minnesota!

New Finds Wednesday!!

Fall is clearly on the way, but Summer is giving us one last punch with sizzling temperatures, unusual humidity

and all the wonderful tourists visiting us each and every day!

Our two Whimsy stores are packed with vintage fun!

Above check out the vintage white glider cleverly concealed under the oars, signs and pillows!

Spend the last days of Summer gently gliding on this awesome comfortable piece--so relaxing!

 Above is our ode to Fall almost here and letting slowly go of Summer.

Keeping the fun alive with the Summer flower power floppy vintage hat and letting

the cool nights get a little toasty with a vintage flannel tied over a vintage plaid dress.

 We just hit an amazing estate sale in Bel Air and you will love the finds we brought to Whimsy!
