Two lovely sisters in fun vintage dresses bringing us back to a time

when life was simple. Let's join them and see a peaceful afternoon in the sun.

 Relaxing and reading.

Taking time to enjoy nature and sisterhood.

 Perhaps on their way to a wedding,or "just because" they feel like dressing up-- the sisters look amazing

in the vintage floral dress with long gloves and the ruffly maroon dress that seems to

dance in the breeze.

 The gorgeous backsides to the dresses and hats bid us farewell and on to their next vintage fashions...

 A darker side, the sisters are shown in a few retro dresses.

The long black and white floral has scalloped long sleeves that are unique and directly from the 70's! 

 

Just got back from a buying trip---and have lots of fresh vintage clothing!

New Finds Wednesday

 Here is our latest addition to our Whimsy {Home & Garden} on 7th Street!

The room is filled to the brim with fun vintage finds!

 Now is the time to think "garden" and here are some amazing vintage finds to help spruce up yours!

The antique swan cement planter, the antique iron garden set and the fantastic potting table made by our

very own "Mr. Whimsy" out of recycled materials will be perfect for your yard!

 These colorful Fiesta dishes are all about Spring and will look fun on your table.

 Love this vintage "Mary" print! Adorable illustration that would be charming in a baby or child's room.

 And, this large glossy red horse statue is mighty graphic in appeal!

 Got a nice stack of vintage posters in both shops at ten dollars a pop!

 More and more brides-to-be are always asking for aqua mason jars--

we have a nice stash in all sizes at both shops!

These are in a wonderful vintage painted wood cabinet.

 Check out Recycled Denims cork board/window with a handy pocket!

This is an amazing antique rocker with handpainted flowers. The caning is in perfect condition!

Vintage Fashion Friday

Starting off this week's edition of Vintage Fashion Friday, we are at the fun and eclectic Angel's Antiques

in Carpinteria ! Always a treasure hunt, you won't want to miss this amazing shop while in town.

This red and white vintage dress is a perfect everyday dress. Throw on a pair of some vintage cowboy

boots and a vintage tole bag all from Whimsy, and you have a knockout outfit!

Have some fun at Angel's and stop by Whimsy to pick up this great dress first!

Carpinteria has lot's of magical places, and the nature you will find in town is breathtaking.

This segment was shot at he Carpinteria Salt Marsh which is a short walk from downtown.

What a perfect vintage outfit to wear for a special lunch or dinner!

This outfit from Whimsy includes a royal purple dress with a sweater.

Whimsy's selection of vintage sweaters,jackets, coats, and wraps is bountiful and gorgeous!

Our selection of vintage handbags, clutches and purses is mighty impressive too!

New Finds Wednesday~~Spring has Sprung!

 Every place you look in our Whimsy {Home& Garden}

you will notice Spring has definitely sprung!

Flowers, vintage garden items, pastels, and lots of unique ideas are waiting

to inspire you!

 Laurinda's space is full of flowery fun! Gorgeous handmade table runners, pillow cases, and an amazing

collection of pastel colors are screaming SPRING! Her bird and heart banners made from vintage music sheets are draped throughout her creative space!

 Heidi of Recycled Denims sure has the imagination and these adorable one of a kind coin purses are

absolutely adorable!  Recycled vintage buttons and jeans never looked so good! You will want to be sure to pick up a few of these. They make great gifts!

How does your garden grow?  Do you think your tomatoes will be as delicious as these?

Laurinda is serving up some delicious stuffed tomatoes...some stuffed with lavendar--some just stuffed!

 Love this adorable bunny with boa's chandelier!

 Ranell's quilts are displayed in her space. She has gorgeous ones she made as well as lovely vintage quilts .

Dreamy vintage flowing sheer skirt over floral vintage bathing suit taken at one of our FAVORITE

This unique home and garden shop is visual and inspiring andis worth visiting over and over.

In addition to their indoor shop, they have a gorgeous outdoor area!

We could spend all day there!

How about this gorgeous vintage lounging outfit that is just waiting for you at Whimsy!

In town at a quaint corner church, is our model geared up in a vintage dress perfect for a wedding!

We do have a great selection of vintage dresses that would be perfect for your unique attire. And what a green way to go! Vintage clothing is so great for the environment...and the pocketbook!

Whimsy has a great selection (in both stores) of vintage jewelry and accessories to

complete any outfit!

Next we are in Sly's at the corner of 7th and Linden (right near our Whimsy--Home & Garden shop)!

This restaurant is one that we always refer our customers to! It is amazing--always a treat!

Click on the link and read more about Sly's the best seafood, steak and cocktails! I always get the salmon.

It literally melts in my mouth! And the veggies are chosen carefully by James Sly from our local Farmer's Market ad prepared to perfection....! Save room for dessert!

You will want to wear a very special vintage dress such ast this adorable black and white floral.

A vintage black velvet shawl is perfect to drape over your shoulders!
